The fish was delicious. It came really well packed and frozen. After defrosting, I grilled two pieces. Splendid. I marinaded the rest as Polish-style Sledz, which is my favourite. I will definitely reorder. Thank you!

I BUY YOUR HERRING FILLETS, NOT TO COOK, BUT TO PICKLE. THEY ARE EXCELLENT. I BRINE THEM FOR 5 DAYS IN THE FRIDGE AND THEN PICKLE THEM IN A VINEGAR RECIPE I GOT OFF THE INTERNET FOR PICKLING TILAPIA. THE HERRINGS STAY FIRM AND MOIST AND TASTE GREAT. THE HERRING FILLETS ARE PRACTICALLY BONE FREE. WHEN I SAY BONE, I MEAN A VERY FINE BONE. INEVITABLE, BUT WHEN YOU PICKLE THEM THE VINEGAR ACTUALLY DISSOLVES THEM AND THERE IS NO TRACE OF ANY BONES WHATSOEVER. TO BE HONEST, THEY ARE THAT FINE YOU WOULD NOT NOTICE THEM ANYWAY. MIGHT EVEN TRY COOKING THEM ONE DAY, I WILL LET YOU KNOW. OBVIOUSLY, HERRING ARE THE BEST FISH TO PICKLE, BUT I HAVE TRIED TILAPIA, ALSO VERY GOOD. PANGASIUS WAS NOT BAD BUT I PREFER IT COOKED. FINALLY, FROM MY LAST TWO ORDERS I AM GOING TO TRY PICKLED SARDINES AND PICKLED ANCHOVIES. NOT SURE ABOUT THE SARDINES BUT I THINK THE ANCHOVIES SHOULD TURN OUT OK. IF YOU DO NOT TRY IT, YOU WILL NEVER KNOW.
