I had heard of the health benefits of cod liver but I was dubious of trying ( too many bad memories of taking cod liver oil capsules in the past) I was pleasantly surprised! No overpowering oily fish flavour or aftertaste. A creamy texture similar to pate, perfect on toast. Would recommend.

absolutely gorgeous: my mother used to serve that on little Melba toasts when I was a child, I loved it then. But it sort of went out of fashion and I had forgotten about it until I saw it on your website, and it is just as great now as I remember it to be!

This was a present, very much appreciated as they hadn't been able to find Cod Liver in regular supermarkets. Apparently this is of excellent quality

Not quite what I expected. The tins contain half oil (which should be drunk as it's the natural cod liver oil) and only half actual liver. The liver is slimy and not as nice as I expected, but I know this is very healthy. You should take a tin or two a week especially in the winter for health benefits. The liver (small amount that there is in each tin) spreads well on toast. It has a milder taste than I expected compared to other types of liver and just tastes a bit fishy. There's nothing to like or dislike about the taste, but I'm not sure it's a product I would buy again. I usually get fish oil from eating oily fish or from capsules that you swallow. If you like spreading pâtés on toast for breakfast, you might like this wild cod liver. It's smooth and soft and quite bland, no doubt very healthy.
