The ONLY documentation I've received from MCE relating to my policy was a reference number when I completed the Online purchase (not even an Email confirmation). I was not even sure that I was actually covered until I did a check through askMID.com I Emailed MCE about this but received NO response, I tried "Live Chat" but no operators were available. The website suggests ringing them, but as their number has a premium rate "0870" prefix. I'm not going to waste my money sitting in a queue. I have subsequently seen other complaints elsewhere suggesting similar dissatisfaction. As it happens, I didn't get around to MOT'ing my bike, so it's not on the road anyway. Next renewal date, I will using a different insurance company.

Bought a bike that I insured 19 hours earlier and it broke down on the way home! I recieved breakdown service with a lift back home (50 miles) The bike was gotten running again but the lovely gent (Dave who is also a Biker) from "SOS Motorcycle Recovery" prefered to take me and my bike home rather than risk it stopping again. I am aware that they didnt "have" to supply the breakdown as it has a 24hr window that they didnt have to honour. I recieved many (Pleasant) phone calls during waiting time/ driving back / and arrival home from MCE staff. The cost of recovery was more than I payed for the policy. So yes I would say they have a customer that will be with them for a good many years to come :D PS: the starter motor was the problem.fixed and very happy with my hayabusa
