The grammar course was between acceptable to good. I would give it 3.5 stars if the system allowed. I found that it didn't keep me feeling very engaged but whether that was the course or me, I don't know. The grammar course gave a good foundation on English grammar but the website was "buggy" at times, which was frustrating. Overall, I'm satisfied enough with it.

So far, I have been impressed with the level of content. I am currently working my way through the Grammar course and I am glad to see I already knew quite a lot and it has already helped me in my day to day teaching to improve my knowledge of specific concepts.

I signed on after having paid for a course previously that was cheap but did not offer certification. However I have been getting job offers regardless :-) I wanted to make this work, as I was better than my English language teachers while at school in Asia. How deluded was I that I'd be able to pick this skill up in my more advanced years. I have found that there is not enough depth, assuming and glossing over the fact that many students may not be graduates of English, apart from the instructor's introductory welcome message and somewhere in the course where certain books were recommended. I bought the books but going through the Grammar course, I couldn't figure out exactly what part of the books to read up on. Udemy offers a better/more detailed resource (cheaper too). A dry subject that is gruelling to get through for me.

I enjoy studying this course. The material is presented in various ways, not only by reading. Videos of actual classes and teachers are especially beneficial. I teach French to children, and I already started using some of the techniques taught in this course. It is amazing! I am very happy I decided to invest in this course.

I think the course was very good!! Everything was in good balance!! I really liked how things were simple and easy to understand and there were constant quizzes and assignments to test us and motivate us!! That is the way potential employers can assess us, right?? My conclusion is that the course was of high quality and it was not like badly time consuming and it was laid back and therefore, I liked it very much!! I decided to purchase from tefl.org from the first get-go!! The reason was that the official website was well-organized and well-done and I very much liked how informative it was!! Thank you!!

I disagree with a number of your statements/examples. For example, you state (https://courses.tefl.org/course/353168/lecture/text/1330/26965442;action=next) that the fact that false friends look or sound similar is coincidental and then bring the example of 'embarazada'. It is not coincidental that embarazada sounds similar to embarrassed as they derive from the same word stem and the meanings are related. A further example is your sample answer for the first assignment (https://courses.tefl.org/course/353168/lecture/text/1330/26965442;action=next), where you seem to invite teachers to express sarcasm towards their students. The sample answer for 'to persuade' also sounds weird. You seem to have one particular situation in mind, in which the answer might well fit, but it does not make sense for the wider definition of 'to persuade'.
