“I find the correction sounds a wee bit more natural/transparent when routed through my Apollo x8. The new UA Update fixes a minor issue with the Console not remembering the on/off setting. All good now. I had previously routed SW through Cubase' Control room, which prevented accidentally Exporting through the Mix Bus. Srtill, this is a more elegant way to get it done.”
“In my case I just wanted my Calibration on 5.1 and headphone to be automatic, just link it in my apollo Monitor and forget about it. I was working with them in plugin format in protools, and it happend more than once that I forgot to bypass them before bouncing, and some time I didn´t realise for days.
With the monitor add on I just leave it on and work freely, and if I want to ajust any parameters I open the stand alone software, but its not often at all.”
“The monitor add-on works flawlessly. A very good idea and solution. I hope it will be further dveloped in the future. Ability to use more monitors (not only the main) with sonarworks correction would be very useful. In case of more apollos in one system it would be useful to be able to use monitor correction on one unit and headphone correction on the other etc.
But even in its present state, it is a very good product.”
