“I've been thinking about purchasing the complete SoundID Reference with a microphone for a long time. I bought the headphone-only version a long time ago, which totally convinced me. It unblocked the muddy sound and fixed what seemed impossible to change for the better. A few days ago I decided to upgrade to the version with a measurement microphone. My home studio has many imperfections, the main one being a booming sound that resonated at lower frequencies which I couldn't get rid of. It's amazing that this program completely eliminated it after 20 minutes of in-room sound testing. I use ADAM A7 + T10S and now this set with SoundID sounds great. I feel like I'll have more control over the mixes now. I will also add that Sonarworks also has nice people in email contact - you can feel that there is a human on the other side, not a chatbot. “Phase and Latency settings, custom target settings and overall correction gets a difficult job in my very special, small and untreated room perfectly done.
Measurement is done easily via the wizzard, and once the calibration is active and adjusted, the result is eye opening! Had specific resonances and room modes, which soundid addresses perfecfly”
“Microphone fits good to software, everything woks well. Only the Microphone case drops litte particles on the microphone capsule so that you have to clean it with a paint brush beforehands.”
“Having used Sound ID for Headphones and finding them extremele useful, when I bought new monitors I upgraded to the speaker edition. THe calibration was easy and accruate and I am happy with it. I'd say the upgrade price was a bit too much though for someone who has purchased several products already.”
