I had been using SoundID for Headphones for a few months, but kept wanting to be able to use my Yamaha HS7 for more accurate mixing in the room and finally made the jump over. No regrets. It transforms these middle-of-the-road monitors into true, accurate mixing tools. It's a must-have going forward.

After purchasing I did have some issues getting the software set up properly. Reached out to support and they responded very quickly to help me resolve the problem. I'm very pleased with system and although the room analysis was a little tedious, it was super simple and I'm very please with the results!

An epic upgrade to my monitor boxes. It is very useful to check your Mix in different simulated acoustic translations. These translations work excellent in real life. My mixes improved a lot by Sonarworks Sound ID. Also for just hearing music it is a massive profit. It would be nice to have an integrated individual hearing correction after a hearing test like Mimi or just using in the Profiles from the Sound ID mobile app.

I recently upgraded from their Headphones version to the Speakers version, waiting for a little because there were many people online claiming the same results could be achieved using open-source software like REW/Equalizer APO. After testing the Speakers version for a decent amount of time I can certainly say that the open-source alternatives don't even compare. Most of these use only one measurement position and the resulting curve for correction whereas Sonarworks product aggregates many and corrects for more than one small little listening sweet spot. While yes, it is not magic and you will still need a decently treated room for good results in the top end, it certainly did help a lot with the low-end frequencies even in an untreated small room, more than these "bass traps" that keep popping up for the very least. Keep in mind that the upgrade will disable your old headphone-only key and replace it with a new one that works for speakers and headphones, so you will no longer be able to use your old key afterward.

While I have all the components for this challenging upgrade, I'm leaving the installation till after the festive season. I've got my brain in gear, however, working out how I'll get Sound ID Phones/Speakers to work effectively for me. I record on an M1 Mac Mini (using Sennheiser 660S phones & PrismLyra DAC. But, to hear the results on my Monitor Speakers, I use an entirely different set-up an Imac(Intel), PrismCallia DAC to largeAmp&Speakers. This will be interesting ??

Still working on getting this perfectly set up but so far it is an excellent value. Everyone who has used this has said that it is indispensable and so far it seems true. I've used another brands version of this and this is far superior.

Once I got back into my studio space, this was like a breath of fresh air to be able to hear my mixes clearer than I've ever before.
