“The difference might not be that huge but I felt the upgrade to stay current was reasonably priced during sale. Future proofing for an possible upgrade when a new version would be warranted.”
“Reference 4 was already a good product but Sound ID has a lot of new features that make it a must-have in your studio. My favorite feature is the fact that I can tweak the EQ to fine-tune the correction that Sonarworks did (which by the way is already really good). The stereo phase alignment has been improved and is now more easy to have a bigger sweet spot. I'm very happy and I would recommend it to everyone who doesn't have necessarily the option to make an acoustical treatment to their studio but want to feel confident when they mixes their songs.”
Hi, thanks for your review, we really appreciate it!

“I gave the software only three stars and didn't recommend the upgrade mainly due to the measurement program. While it was an easy enough process in Reference 4, it seems SoundID doesn't like my room much, and have quite a few problems to get the measurements done. The software itself was somewhat buggy as well.
Having said said that, the main program seems to work well in both plugin and standalone modes with Windows 10. It seems to me audio sounds now a little bit clearer too, although I'm not entirely sure. Sometimes I get some audio glitches if I use a web browser while my DAW is open, but there are no problems if I stick to my DAW.
If Sonarworks manages to solve this minor but slightly annoying issues I would recommend the upgrade without doubt.”
