“it is true that the flat version counts on headphone, but in the monitor section I expected more choice, I liked the previous version with hifi
the rest is pretty good”
“I upgraded from Reference 3 to SoundID Reference.....amazing software...I use them both, but not at the same time....I love my mixes now. Thank you Sonarworks Team, you guys are great.”
“There are still some bugs to iron out, operating the very latest in Apple Mac technology on the very latest OS, and working through Logic Pro X, SoundID shuts down regularly, and sometimes won't open so I have to reinstall from the website downloader. I operate a pro studio so need exceptional results and reproducibility. Although annoying when it shuts down, I still wouldn't use anything else for mixing through headphones, the results are incredible. Once the bugs are ironed out it's a 5 out of 5.”
“Not really happy with it. It’s not as good as Reference 4. I was able to switch between my normal soundcard settings with Reference 4 where SoundID just over-rides and I have to restart my system to exit the application.”
“The added features are truly useful, especially the ability to switch to EQ for car speakers, small speakers, and computer speakers.
I would suggest that users be aware that the app (not the plugin) itself defaults to turning itself on when the computer starts up unless the feature is disabled in the app's preferences. This isn't really explained in the setup instructions, or if it is, I missed it. If you use speakers to monitor your audio most of the time, users might want to turn that feature off to avoid confusion.”
