“I'm using Sonarworks for a small 10ft square home studio with windows along one wall. I have some basic acoustic treatment on the walls, but I was having some low end buildup that was difficult to manage. Sonarworks significantly cleaned things up, especially in the low end. I've yet to see how the correction affects how my mixes translate, but I'm impressed with what the software is doing in my room based on my initial impressions.”

“1) The calibration and sound is as advertised for both monitors and earphones. The setup process itself is easy and the program makes it even easier. I really liked that you can set the timer yourself before the measurements start, the live UI of where the microphone is in your room and where to move it, everything was fantastic. I didn't imagine measuring your room would be fun. It was. The sound that comes out of the calibration is also nice. I finally heard things I had had trouble before. The calibration EQ graph also confirmed my suspicions of the frequency areas I had trouble with. The sounds is a lot flatter now and I can't imagine going back to non-calibrated sound.
The headphone calibration is also awesome. I have had my BD 770 Pros for some time now and they've always been a little too top-heavy for me. But they changed into a balanced and even nicer listening experience in an eyeblink. I do like that I can turn the calibration off and still listen to the highs when needed.
2) The overall user-experience is top-notch, although I did find it weird that the "launch on startup" option hasn't worked for me on my first gen M1 Macbook pro. Started working on my track, but it sounded funny. Discovered that Sonarworks hadn't booted up after a restart. I have managed to replicate that every single time. But it's a small gripe as I don't restart the laptop after every session anyway.
But other than that.. the way you can switch between different audio profiles is great. I use the car and phone profiles for referencing all the time, they're easy to use. I also really like the toolbar dropdown menue for quickly changing output devices and calibration profiles.
3) Overall - it's not often I'm so happy with a product. It's well-rounded, thoughtful and useful. A complete experience.”
