I found very useful this software because I've always had difficulties finding balance in my music mixes and with the EQ correction of the headphones I had the occasion the hear the music from a different point of view. This was a key change specifically with balancing the voice with the instrumental in my mixes.

I think this app is great! My only complaint is that it needs to be restarted every time I wake up my computer.

I use SoundID for headphones because I just don’t have the ability to calibrate a room for my studio. The headphone only SoundID has been a life saver, helping me narrow in on quality sounds for my creating, mixing, and mastering so that I can as close to commercial quality as I can get.

Overall, I am satisfied with my purchase of Sonarworks SoundID Reference. There were no issues getting an educational license. One recommendation I would make is to improve translation check target models to be as detailed and natural sounding as in competitive software - Sienna by Acustica Audio.

As I fore mentioned, SoundID Reference is perfect for those trying to narrow down the creative process to the Midrange. My DT 770 Pro have a lot of airy HighEnd, as well as a lot of LowEnd, thus leaving the MidRange out of the picture. With SoundID Ref’s correction, I managed to reduce the HighEnd and increase the MidRange, focusing more on what’s really important. Perfect product, for its price.

I’m hearing everything correctly for the first time. My mixes are getting better as a result.
