SoundID Reference for Headphones introduced me to a whole new world of listening. It gave me hope for my mixes and provided a transformative listening experience by calibrating to a flat frequency response and allowing you to custom-target the frequencies based on your tastes/character via its target modes. Not to mention running your tracks through various translation checks (car, tv, headphones, smartphones, speakers and etc.). Another game changer that makes your listening experience more enjoyable is Dolby Atmos Music target mode. Overall, you will never lose because of the FREE TRIAL! This convinced me to buy the software because it is worth every penny for its value.

SoundID for Headphones has changed the game for me. As a student in media who does mixing/audio post production on the side, I can’t afford a great room with great speakers, so headphones will have to do. And they work wonderfully now, the balance is fantastic.

I had used a copy of Sonarworks a while back and enjoyed it, but I was on a tight budget and had to buy a competitor plugin (ToneBoosters Morphit). It wasn't until there was a Black Friday deal that I was able to buy it again. It's a gamechanger. The correction curve adds so much detail level to the listening experience, increasing the power of the headphones as mixing devices. I just feel so confident with the translation that it has happened that I was on the road and had nothing but my cans and Sonarworks and when I arrived at home to check in my monitors, there was nothing to touch in the mix. I really like the new translation check feature.

My situation: I have an untreated room, I mix with a pair of Tannoy 802s and a Sennheiser HD 600 and getting that low end was always possible only by mixing, looking at the spectrum analyzer, trying out different speakers and headphones -AFTER- exporting the mix, and then remembering what was wrong with each speaker. and for me most of that problem goes away with Sonarworks SoundID Reference for Headphones (was the most affordable for me) I get a way better sense of what's going on in the lower end. of course you can't beat monitors with a treated room, but my mixing process is now 1. Easier 2. Faster

I use the calibration software for all of my headphone listening experiences and love it! I hope to one day get fully calibrated headphones.

Having the opportunity to monitor mixes with multiple references without living the studio is a great plus. I've also noticed that the flat default profile for my Sony MDR-7506 is, as I say, "defatiguing" for my ears especially when doing long sessions.
