“I used to use Equaliser APO, along with the Peace UI for it. However even with the various presets I tried, the high frequencies in my HD800S Headphones came through and pierced my ears.
I then tried using SoundID Reference by Sonarworks. After setting it up and using the Dolby Music Matched Preset (which slightly reduces the highs and slightly increases the bass when compared to the neutral preset).
Put simply, it’s the best preset I’ve ever used and the best £100 I spent, as I can also use SoundID on up to 3 machines which is useful for my Music Production PC.
Not having to manually configure every settings every time I reinstall windows or move to another computer is another benefit, and the GUI is amazing too.
