I was getting good mixes with my headphones before Sonarworks SoundID Reference for Headphones, now they are even better! This software has even improved how my mixes translate on cell phone speakers which is never good, but better than it was.

I'm learning how yo mix and got SoundIDReference for headphones. They have the curve for the model of headphones I use (Shure SRH 440), so that was perfect. I started with the free trial but went on purchasing. This is a very useful tool, you could benefit from it.

I encountered a problem in correcting the Beyerdynamic DT 770 Pro 250 Ohm, especially on the high frequencies, which tend to sound too dark. I had to customize some parameters to get the correct fix. Regarding emulations of car audio systems, I believe that they need an update to adapt to the new standards. Despite the limitations in headphone fixes, I intend to purchase the full version for speakers with microphone in the future. I have noticed that use in environments with serious acoustic problems could be less effective, therefore in my specific case I am waiting to move my studio to a more suitable space before making the purchase. Overall, I'm happy with the purchase, especially for some A/B testing. Too bad about the problems mentioned above.

Hello, Thank you for reaching out! Yes, the DT700 Pros with the flat calibration will have the high-end reduced to match the rest of the frequencies at the 0db level. For this very reason, it might sound "dark" as you've described. It takes a while to get used to. As per the Speaker calibration, it indeed will help to improve the frequency response of the speakers and will be tailored to your room. Keep in mind that without proper room treatment, there still might be some artifacts thus some treatments will offer better results. I hope this helps!

SoundID works fine. My Beyerdynamic DT 990 Pro sounds very neutral now.

Great product. Complex but has good support. A bit overwhelming at first so I think a few real simple starter guides would be helpful.
