SoundID for headphones has been great, a decent way to visualize what biases my headphones were introducing and how they’ve been corrected. Although it can’t solve for all issues, it corrects them as significantly as is possible. And the graphic representation and multiple other presets provide sufficient data that’s easy to understand and use to better understand how the flattest mix - setting me up to confidently finish projects that I know will translate well to different systems and setups. Only downside is that I wish I could fine-tune my own custom presets a bit more specifically instead of broadly.

I highly recommend this. You can radically improve your listening and mixing experience by simply hearing the correct frequency response. Will definitely upgrade for my studio monitors in the future.

After integrating Sound ID Reference into my music production workflow, I’ve seen a remarkable transformation in my mixing and mastering process. This tool has been a game-changer, particularly with its ‘Translation Check’ feature. My process begins with sculpting my mix using the ‘Mixcubes’ under studio speakers, allowing me to focus on the core elements of my sound. I then refine the mix through ‘NS11’ for precision, moving on to simulate real-world environments like ‘Car 2’ and ‘Smartphones’. This ensures my mix translates well across common listening scenarios. The magic doesn’t stop there; I apply finishing touches using the ‘B&K 1974 speaker target’, ensuring my mix’s fidelity to a wide range of audio environments. My final step involves the ‘Flat target section’, where I meticulously compare the ‘Near, mid, & far field’ to standard mixes, making any last adjustments. This comprehensive process, enabled by Sound ID Reference, works perfectly for me, elevating my mixes to professional standards. It’s not just a product; it’s my studio’s new cornerstone.

Easy to use and understand, does not have every headphone as a preset, but has most if not all premium stidio headsets.

A friend producer of mine recommended this software (Sound id Reference) for achieving the right sound when producing. And after testing it on a free trial I was truly impressed. This makes getting the right volumes and levels exactly as you want them to sound on all sound systems. I couldn’t be more happy as this saves me a ton of time tweaking etc before mastering. I bought the full version before the trial ran out. And will never start a new project without this piece of software on my master channel again. Great work guys keep it up. P.s the tutorials and help offered by Sonarworks is top notch as well. Thank you

This is a really good product that will help you make better recording, mixing and mastering decisions. Using Beyer 880 Pro and I totally recommend it. I just wonder why I was not using it earlier...
