“I use SoundID Reference integrated with Luna. It really changed my hearing expirience. I use my 25-year old Sennheizer HD580 headphones. First days was very hard to get used to it . I'm learning to hear through them from the beginning.”
“It has become the first program I leave running in the background on both my studio and work computer. It gives me much more confidence in what I am hearing, especially since mixing on headphones can sometimes be tricky and my ears can be fooled. I use it with every pair of headphones so that it removes one more variable from the equation in my work. Honestly, I am more than satisfied with it”
“I recently purchased SoundID Reference for Headphones (Download Only) and I’m genuinely impressed with how much it’s improved my listening and mixing experience.
The setup was quick and straightforward, and within minutes I could hear a clear difference. The software does an amazing job of flattening the frequency response, making everything sound more balanced and accurate. It really feels like I can trust what I’m hearing now, especially when working on mixes that need to translate well across different systems”
“Hi! I'm genuinely picky about design, so when something gets it right I feel like I have to say it. Sonarworks has one of the cleanest, most intuitive interfaces I've used. Everything is exactly where you'd expect it, never cluttered, never in the way. It just feels considered. Great work. My AKGs have a new life now!”
“So far it has been great. It has definitely leveled up my mixing/mastering exponentially. I was not aware of the importance of headphone calibration and how it helps you make more accurate decisions that translate to various systems more easily.”
“It will never make your crappy headphones sound like $5k monitors, but it’ll make them sound like a Bluetooth speaker or AirPods, and that makes it worth every penny.”
“I appreciate the quality of the software and the research behind it. However there are some areas that have caused me to use competitor products more often:
1) I understand the purpose of your proprietary target curve. However having a OPTION to also use the Harman curve as a target would be appreciated. Since so many headphones shoot for this response, it is a valuable reference.
2) When mixing in headphones, it is useful to have more speaker/room simulations. The car is great since
I do audio books and that’s a common listening environment, but so are crappy Bluetooth speakers!”
