I always thought that my ATH-M40x cans were flat enough that my mixes on them would translate well to other audio systems. But after discovering SoundID, I realized I was way, way off. “For me it’s a no! I have hard times with this app! I have to quit app every time i jump from my daw to internet, so I can listen to music!
I spent a lot of money on this, it’s expensive and it confuses me with routing. When I go to translation check so I can hear my music on a different environments, it always mute everything. I don’t know, maybe I’m doing wrong, maybe it’s my fault, but its frustrated.”

“In my opinion SoundID Reference fot Headphones is mandatory, especially for those working predominantly with headphones. Installed without problems, It has ton of headphone models to choose for with the corresponding frequency curve. Tthe program is intuitive, even someone with little experience can use it. I used it with Beyerdynamic DT 770 Pro 250 ohms and AKG K612 Pro and in both cases the calibration had clear impact on sounds and on the other hand it doesn't matter which kind of headphones I am using - the quality of the sound after calibration is same. I am very gratefulthere isn included possibility to check translation in different environments - very useful indeed. Another posiibility isthat we can make custom adjustments to the target curve. SoundID Reference for Headphones can be used as plugin or standalone. It has a good price-quality ratio. Well done ! Highly recommend !”
