“This is the kind of AI tool that doesnt stiffle creativity. Ive had it a couple weeks and found it very useful for doubling and thickening voices and instruments. Ive also started using it for vocal harmonies while composing and its just bananas. Ive tried other apps for composing vocal harmonies, but this is the easiest by far. I sing meh, but then i tune in melodyne and process with this. I expect to use the harmony tracks to articulate my ideas to performers, but the model is licensed so I may keep some of these as is. The result is audibly "ai", so expect to bury things under fx a bit. I dont think Id plan to use a generated dry signal for a lead. Id also add that building the doubles or harmonies on the scratch track is a great way to give me confidence on the final lead take. I got perpetual, I have a decent rtx gpu, processing times are reasonable and dont break the flow of working.
Its the most exciting thing Ive played with for composition since scaler.”
“Immensly enjoying my perpetual liscense of Voice ID. It gives me the creative freedom to experiement without remorse trying out whatever idea comes to mind. Best software purchase in a long time.”
“Re: Voice AI - There isn't currently an easy way to move the take cache to another drive. That's not great for someone who has both a desktop and laptop and needs to go to more than one studio to work. It should be remedied.
Also, more singing voice choices would be an excellent thing. What's there are OK-to-good, and I suppose the whole thing is kind of miraculous, but you could charge for voice packs if necessary.
I don't use the voices on a final project, where I like to use real singers - there is still magic in the human voice - but they're great for demos and working out vocal parts.”
