“What can I say? I have the Beam 2 and had been considering the Sub Gen. 3 for a while. I was reluctant to commit because I thought that it might be too powerful for the Beam and also for a medium size room which I have my Beam in. When the Sub Mini was released it was as though it was designed specifically for the Beam. After some consideration I ordered one from SMS. What a piece of kit is. Installation takes 3/4 minutes and the performance is superb. I had been very satisfied with the Beam on its own but adding the Sub Mini added another dimension. Because the Mini took care of the lower frequencies it released the Beam to concentrate on the mid and high range. And it did it beautifully. I used Truplay to tune the system to the room. When watching TV with mainly dialogue the Mini isn’t in use but the performance of the Beam sounds clearer and crisper. I listen to a lot of jazz and the Mini handles the base effortlessly. The sound from movies is improved tremendously,, especially action ones. The Sub Mini is an amazing product from Sonos at a not too expensive price.”
