“Arrived on time, a lovely straight piece of oak with substantial brass fittings nicely aged. You have to finish the oak to your taste. I used three coats of acrylic satin lacquer rubbed back lightly between coats. Being water based this can be achieved in one afternoon. Fitting to the wall can be a handful with a long handrail but I cut a large cardboard template that fitted on the stairs and gave me a perfect vertical position for each bracket. A very good quality product.”

“Brass end caps are too large for rail and slip off. Our builder has had to stuff the caps to ensure they do not move. Not good enough!”

“Excellent product that looks very good on our stairs. Fittings are good quality and instructions easy. Was a little anxious about anchorage points on a lathe and plaster wall but is good and firm.”
