“I really rate this watch and primarily bought for the Shot tracking and on the while it's brilliant. There are some flaws. The watch struggles when using the same club twice in a row, say pitch, then little chip. Putting accuracy isnt great. The app is frustrating if you only play 9 holes, especially if back 9, it always records as front 9 and messes up all stats.”

“Easy to set up. Looks really good on the wrist. Comfortable. Works well on the course. Odd time it doesn't change hole, but very odd time. Having dealt with customer service i wouldn't buy anything else.”

“This is much cheaper than its competitor Arccos. However it would still be nice to be able to tweak some of the settings e.g. automatically showing shot distance after your shot, and also being able to see your score on that hole as you play the hole - would make it so much easier to know if a shot was registered or not. Would I buy it again? Probably yes.”

“Just know that the grey is just the band. The outer trim of the watch face is still black. I'm sure that was stated somewhere, but I would not have gone grey if I saw that. The watch functions great. I hope the watch is durable--this one was a replacement of one that broke right after warranty. Shotscope still has the best overall deal for shot tracking, excellent web interface and data, and excellent customer service.”

“Great little watch that ticks all the boxes and comes with tags to track your game. It’s button-operated, which I personally prefer over the X5’s touchscreen. Battery life is impressive too — after a full charge and a long round of golf, I still had 63% remaining. As with most rechargeable devices, battery performance may reduce slightly over time. One thing to be aware of: the V5 GPS uses tags for shot tracking, whereas the X5 GPS does not. If you want an X5 with tag-based tracking, you’ll need to purchase the X5 Track Watch.”

“I just play my first round with it, and it's amazing, really helps you think better on the golf course, really accurate with the distances, the tracking system with the golf clubs is really really fast and precise, maybe a coincidence but I just hit my best round in the last three years”

“nice improvement compared to the V3 I had before, very slick and menus have improved. Tag detection is also well improved, as well as the Ai behind it, rarely you have to correct the type of clubs or location, no mistake in practice swings etc...”

“Works reliably on course. One feature not really discussed on reviews is the dispersion tracking of your past shots to use when planning a pre round strategy, very useful. Some menu features are annoying. There should be away to disable last shot feature. Manual putting mode should make you select when on a green, as you can't back out of putting mode. A slick feature would be if you could track your weather/course conditions on the day of the round, and then color code your dispersion points and filter the data to conditions. See how your shots change in windy, wet to dry conditions.”
