“This is my 4th purchase from Shotscope. Started out with a V3, then a range finder, then a X5. X5 battery was failing after 3 year, so purchased a V5. As it happens I much prefer the V5 to the X5. Although the X5 has a touch screen, the V5 does everything the X5 does, just with buttons. I prefer the buttons on the V5 to the touchscreen and crown on the X5. I find them much easier to use and the buttons don'y get caught on my glove the way the crown does. Loving my new purchase.”

“The GPS watch works well for yardage and is very close to my rangefinder on almost all holes. The shot tracking system does not work as well as you would hope. It frequently will count or read shots you didn't take and going back to delete shots is very time consuming.”

“A very easy to use watch. I previously had one from another manufacturer which was touch screen. I personally find the buttons easier to use when on the golf course. The yardage information availability to hazards is excellent and the full course maps very helpful when playing an unfamiliar course. Very easy to navigate. One area for improvement would be to have the option of seeing your club average distances on the hole map like the X5. Perhaps this will come in the future.”

“Finally got to use my new V5 gps watch and it didn’t disappoint. Readings were accurate and the interface is very easy to use. Completely satisfied. After I did my research, I told my friend to get one as well. He absolutely loves his also!”

“Penalties can only be added immediately at the time you lose it or after your round is over and you have to fully reciew your round and "sign off" to add to your stats. Review process is terrible on a phone in my experience and is what I found most frustrating. The watch itself and tags wotked well for me, the price was right. The software for reviewing was extremely frustrating.”

Hi Gary, Yes you can add penalties at the time or afterwards in editing, this gives you an option on what you'd like. Sorry you find editing tricky. The dashboard on a PC or Laptop does offer some more screen space and can make things easier. If you would like some more help please contact our support team at support@shotscope.com
