“I was attracted to connex as it apeared to offer a great value solution to understanding my data and help to improve. The setup is easy and instructions clear. The problem is that using it on the course is very cumbersome. The marketing material shows being able to tap your club on your phone kept.in your pocket. To date I have not been able to get this to work without the phone locking and not being able to tap the club. This means you can only really use the tags if you physically carry your.phone, unlock it before each shot. This does not work for me. I use the G6 for distances and not the phone. With hindsight I should have bought the watch with gps tags connected. If though you do use a gps phone app, then I think this will be an essential solution for you. For me, I wish I could now upgrade the watch to use the tags!”

“I have used the shot scope tags for 3 rounds now, and I am impressed with the range of stats that they produce. They have already highlighted an area for development which I was not aware of! My one critisim is the freezing of the app, when on greens and I have left my putt inches short. I think it struggles to register this and the hole and thus freezes. The only way round I have found for this is restarting my phone which is not ideal while waiting to play.”

“I have only used this product 1 round and really loved how easy it was to use. I felt as though it did not impede my normal shot process as I was looking at my phone for the yardage anyway. I was also surprised on how little the battery did drain on my IPhone 15. There are some kinks I need to work out as far as when to collect the pin and such but that will come in time. The reason for the 4 star is the app has been a bit buggy and as a personal note I need to change my putter grip to allow the putter tags as it does not fit the super stroke (I know this is personal preference but did not consider that before )”

“These tags in combination with the ShotScope app are a fantastic tool. It ended all guesswork and/or ego related club selection. It really helps to score better by selecting the right targets and the matching clubs. After 2 weeks ‘testing’ the ShotScope platform, I ordered an X5 watch for even more convenience and faster tracking. My biggest lessons: re-think hitting driver on every hole, 3W scores better, use long enough irons to approach green.”

“The mapping of the course and the tracking of distances worked well. The problem I have is the way you have to go between screens to tap the club and then back to the map. When wearing a glove and trying to carry a club and a phone, having to also press a small button to activate the sensor, then switch back to mapping is a bit too much. A simpler approach or not having to change the screen back would be a better experience.”

“The product does what it says in the description, but it doesn’t work for me on the course. I used arccos before and for me they are easier to use. With Connex I have to use my phone to scan at each shot and that just takes too long and sometimes it reads double the score is not correct.”

“These tags are really good value @ £69.99. And work well, however I didnt keep them as I found it a bit awkward to tap on my phone....I think this is more me as I use a Shot Scope laser (Brilliant) and also England Golf to load my scores and I found I was spending too much time loading the info...If you are not doing this, or more disciplined that I am they will work really well....Accurate and easy to fit.”
