I really wanted to love this product. Seemed like the perfect fit. But it keeps turning off mid round and resetting so I can never actually get in a full round despite the battery being full. I can't track my game due to this and the product effectively becomes useless.

I like the idea but the first round I tried to use it it wouldn't show distances and fell off while walking to the 3rd green. Never to be seen again. Do not recommend.

H4 came in just like new. The device works quite good and has good battery life. The app’s user interface takes just a little to get used to, but works fine. When turning on the device, at times it takes more than several minutes, so it’s better be turned on right after arriving at the course. The customer service is quite outstanding. I had issue of uploading data after a round. When I submitted the issue, in less than a day there was response. Then after a few more times of email exchanges, the customer service representative modified course mapping to make it work. That’s A+.

When the technology works, it seems to work well. I have an up-to-date iPhone 16 Max and have found connectivity via bluetooth to be very unreliable to the device. I attempted to do gps+tracking paired to my phone with my first round using it this year and could never get it connected. they recommend 5 minutes before tee time trying to start it up; I spent about 15 and just gave up and did gps+tracking without pairing it. After I got home I was able to restart the device and it connected and I was able to upload my scores. Speaking of connections, during the initial setup you're asked to select courses you want and then it tells you if there are updates available you want to sync. My courses would time out at 99% and I'd have to restart the device and try again. I play about 4 courses regularly but this process was so annoying and time consuming I only ended up trying to update the course I play most often. One of the other weaknesses in my view is that the app appears to just be a wrapper for a mobile website, so it tends to do weird things with the UI occassionally that a purpose built app may not. Loading inappropriately in places, zoom doing weird things, etc. Speaking of that mobile website, I have found that more than a few of the links to help don't send you to specific articles but just take you to the root of the help page, which is not helpful. They also (again because of the mobile website thing vs. app IMO) don't have a clean way to go back to the page you were on when you click on help, you have to swipe right like you're going back in Safari, or try to navigate back to where you were manually. All that to say, the tracking and GPS seem pretty accurate after 1 round, and the stat collection seems very promising (a full year of stats would help), but the app and connectivity needs help. Overall for the money I think it's worth it if you're into stat collection, but don't expect miracles out of it. I don't think that I'd recommend it to someone without a lot of patience for technological hiccups, but as someone with that patience and with IMpatience for subscriptions, I took the leap. I wonder how it will remove outliers to clubs for distances over time. It claims it will, but a fuller review over time would help to see here. For instance, if you were doing a toe-down chip with a 7 iron hopefully it removes all those little 10-20 yard chips from your average 7-iron distance. Hope this helps!

Easy to read and nit as cumbersome to wear on my belt, does not hinder swing at all. The only issue I am having is when near the green, the screen switches to putting mode when in reality I am right off the fringe and need to chip to get to the green, need to figure out how to get off putting mode.
