Great to have a spare cord for the car, but the cost was much higher than for a phone. Probably because of the unique end which seems more stable than a regular usb c

I never hit the fairway without my X5—it’s become an essential part of my golf routine! Most rounds, it locks onto satellites quickly, and with a quick tip—activating GPS about 5 minutes before tee-off—you’re good to go. The yardage accuracy is absolutely phenomenal. It’s like having a personal caddie strapped to your wrist, guiding every shot with precision. The display is crisp and easy to read, and the touchscreen makes navigating features feel natural and intuitive. While it takes a little time to master all the functions, once you do, the payoff is huge—especially when you start seeing improvements in your game. Post-round analysis? Pure gold. The insights it provides help you pinpoint exactly where to focus your practice, turning weaknesses into strengths. A couple of things to note: the rubber strap, while durable, can be a bit heavy and caused some irritation for me. A cloth strap option would be a fantastic addition. And while the battery life is decent, I’d love to see it stretch beyond two full rounds. Overall, the X5 is a brilliant companion for any golfer serious about improving their game. With a few tweaks, it could be perfect—but even now, it’s a powerhouse on the green!

I love the Shot Scope products, but £20 for a cable seems excessive.

After very little use (about 6-7 times charging), the metal ring on the plug of the cable broke off. It got stuck in the watch case and I had to carefully pull it out with pliers. I bought a new cable and will use it with great care. If this happens again, I will throw away what is actually a good watch! Question: Why don't you use a standard usb plug?

I think that eventually upcoming product should use som kind of USB-contact, not a specific one.

It's just a short cable with a USB connector on one end, and a proprietary connector on the other. The only reason I did not rate it a 5/5 is the proprietary connector. Unless there is some overiding technical requirement, it would be nice to have a more common connector that one can pick up anywhere. One has to be careful not to misplace the connector.

I was given an X5 as a birthday present five months after I started playing golf. For me, the top feature is automatic shot tracking. I am getting deeper and deeper into the rabbit hole of trying to understand my game, and shot data is just the best way to feed a growing addiction. Shot tracking feeds, in turn, the Strokes Gained metric. From that, I now have objective data that my putting is really really poor, but my short game is actually surprisingly good. In the three months that I have been using the X5, my overall Strokes Gained metric has improved from 34 to sub 25. Part of this is simply learning how to hit a golf ball. But a significant part comes from knowing where to target my practice and my improvement. Apart from shot tracking, I like the watch - it is functionally attractive and looks well made. The software seems a bit ropey at times, but the overall impression is of excellent value. One ask: I'd like the excellent MyStrategy info to be visible in the watch on the golf course in addition to the online dashboard where it currently sits.
