“simply echoing what has already been said, but for the price this is an amazing little device, I would say the standard pi models would be recommended if your just wanting to use the pi as a general multi purpose device, but once you know what it is your building the pi zero makes your project much more compact, one minor greivence would be that it's very picky in regards to what USB hubs work with it (I didn't get a single one to play ball, and didn't fancy buying one just to do the initial setup) so I just had to juggle devices with a single port for the initial setup which wasn't too bad
personally if/when we get a pi zero v2 a micro hdmi port would be nice, the mini port is very chunky compared to the rest of the system and adds a fair bit of bulk to projects that require hdmi out (resulting in being forced to opt for composite out instead on the smallest of projects), but other than those 2 minor issues it's a nice cheap bit of kit and highly recommended”

“What can I say about PiZero that hasn't be said before? In short, this little guy is amazing! It is more powerful than the Pi 1, yet more power efficient (especially compared with the 2 and 3). I am currently running mine from a tiny 2000 mAh power bank and it runs for hours on a single charge. And for that price I see no reason not to get one. My only gripe would be the fact that you actually need to solder the GPIO pins yourself, which can be rather tricky for someone not used to the soldering iron (like myself). On the upside if you don't need the pins - their lack makes the device very thin. Fingers crossed that the next iteration would have a WiFi chip on board. Even at double or triple the price a built in wireless would be amazing. Still the PiZero is one heck of a device as it is now!”
