Smaller than a credit card, a full low power linux computer that you can replace cheaply if you damage it during your experimentation or construction. Something I couldnt imagine existing 10 years ago . Add a few hats or expansions of your own and this thing can do pretty much anything.”

So cheap and easy to configure, spend more on a usb lead and psu for it. That's literally how cheap these things are. This latest purchase is going to run a DNS service for my home to rid me of online adverts via the PI-Hole system.
