I haven't wired it up yet but delivery was prompt and well packaged. The camera comes with a screw-on lens cap, which offers good protection to the sensor in transit.

A remarkable improvement in picture quality over the older mini V2 camera, and that is over the 5.8 Ghz link. Colours seem more vibrant, and I am very pleased with it. An excellent product.

I'm using the HD camera with Raspberry Pi 3A and an old spare Fujinon lens as 35mm slide copier. I have an electroluminescent display to backlight the slides and just use Raspistill via SSH from a Python application on my linux desktop. Taking 5 images at different EV's then using enfuse to merge gives a very good 'HDR'like image. This is *significantly* better than my old V2 camera based version.

PiMoroni did a great job shipping the camera out especially given Current Circumstances. As for the camera itself, it's a decent piece of kit, the sensor appears well matched to the job I've got for it as a telescope imager. I bought without a lens and the adapter I've got for the telescope doesn't screw in quite as securely as I'd like but it does hold OK. Attached are the "first light" pictures I got straight off raspistill of the moon in daytime - focus and contrast can be put down to a mid-afternoon hot day rather than the camera. Now I just need to fight v4l2 to get similar quality images out of EKOS via INDI....
