Python was a breeze, and I have a number of very exciting projects I'm planning for the little board.
That said, I personally had a lot of trouble setting up the C development environment (in Windows), and in fact, still can't develop in C for the Pico. I'm a software developer by trade, and if this process (installing the C development tools) is too tricky for someone like me - I dread to think what non developers would make of it. It's not over-hyperbolic to describe the current step by step instructions as "nightmarishly over complex".
I do look forward to tackling C again after the onboarding process is a little easier.”
