See image .... Pico, what can I say more, all those the great reviews from others. Order pin at the same time, if using with breadboard. If you cant solder, buy the version with pins assembled. Pity they don't come with pins like other microcontrollers do, lucky I have hundreds.

It's a "swiss army knife" of the electronics world & I'd like to thank myself - Paul Z, for this quote.

The Pico is an amazing bit of kit. Very easy to get up and running. Looking forward to seeing a wireless version.

A wonderful little device - perfect for tinkering with Python or (maybe) C. Python was a breeze, and I have a number of very exciting projects I'm planning for the little board. That said, I personally had a lot of trouble setting up the C development environment (in Windows), and in fact, still can't develop in C for the Pico. I'm a software developer by trade, and if this process (installing the C development tools) is too tricky for someone like me - I dread to think what non developers would make of it. It's not over-hyperbolic to describe the current step by step instructions as "nightmarishly over complex". I do look forward to tackling C again after the onboarding process is a little easier.
