“Nice fast and hot tiny computer. I think like others guys that the fan shim is a must. You have to pay attention to the fragile micro-hdmi plugs, for example, you must keep the official hdmi cable flat on a table. I use mainly this Pi 4 instead of a Pi 3 B+ in a mini home studio and I can have much more instruments playing simultaneously in the qtractor sequencer.”

“Seems very fast and a completely different beast from the early version Pi’s. I don’t like the fact that it runs quite warm in moderate use, but more importantly I somehow managed to corrupt the boot loader during initial setup so that it wouldn’t boot up when next I switched on. Wasted a lot of time trying to work out what was wrong and burnt several images on spare micro SD cards - all to no avail. Eventually found a remedy on the raspberrypi.org website for repairing the boot loader”
