“It is impossible to fit a Raspberry v1.3 camera on the camera cover. The clips and pins to hold the camera pcb are to short, as the square part of the black CCD cube does not fit in the round hole.
Next, the housing lacks an opening to enter/remove the SD-card. Each time you want to change the memory card, the Pi Zero(W) pcb needs to be completely dismounted from the housing.
Bearing in mind that all of the material is "genuine raspberry", I am a little disappointed.”
“Crazy value for the price. I have several of these and have yet to find a better case. Fronts without cutouts, with cutout for camera and cutout for pins are provided, as well as a short camera cable that makes the camera module a perfect fit. The case is small and tidy, installation is quick and tool less, everything fits perfectly and there’s access to the pins on the back as well. There’s even small silicone feet. Highly recommended.”
“There are some covers I never use and I'm getting quite a collection of them. It would be great to either opt-in for the covers required or, even better, opt-out of the ones I've already got too many of. Save the planet, one PiZero case cover at a time!”
“I have a few different Zero cases, and they are all generally a bit of a fiddle and limited in their protection, its all or next to nothing.
That is not a problem for the official case, its really nicely made, your Zero (W) clips in securely and the various lids means you can tailor it to your needs (Desktop, GPIO access or Spy cam).
