“The Fan SHIM works great to cool down the raspberry pi actively which on its own runs quite hot. It is easy to mount and goes well with the Pi Coupe case. The only gripe I can point out is that it could have a little support on the bottom to help with its stability but it is very light so this isn't a big problem. Another plus is that the GPIO pins are still usable when we connect this fan!”
“I really like the Fan part, not so much the Shim bit though. I have two of these, one worked just fine as is plugged onto the GPIO header. The second one would not work correctly until I solder on a header?
They really do a good job of keeping your Pi 4B cool though. A bit fiddly to get them working though.
IMHO, a female SMT header on the top side would fix that. I would pay more for that option.”
