The screen is bright and clear. The fit and finish is great. The problem is the drivers. I had to do way more searching on google than I should have to get the drivers working properly. The biggest issue was finding out how to properly flip the screen. The instructions given in the guide on the Pimoroni site do not work on the Raspberry Pi 4. The screen is only worth buying if you know ahead of time that you are going to be spending time setting it up and researching problems that you may run into.

Needed a screen for my Raspberry Pi 3 so decided on the HyperPixel 4 as it looked better than all the other screens out there. Installed it on my Pi and installation was very easy and went smoothly with a one line command. The screen is superb quality and the resolution is spot on, sharp and colourful. If your looking for a touch screen I highly recommend this without hesitation. Don’t wait buy one now you won’t regret it.

Amazing quality, I was able to configure it for RetroPie following this comment https://github.com/Aloshi/EmulationStation/issues/744 you just need to provide the correct resolution and screen rotation, tricky but doable. Next challenge will be to get sound out of it :D

I used it for the first time yesterday, but it doesn't work. I installed the software on the raspberry pi 3B + with one liner and rebooted, but the screen remained black. The LCD backlight doesn't even turn on, so it's probably out of order. I bought it directly from the pimoroni official, but is there any guarantee for this? I live in Japan and can't speak English so I can't get in touch.

Good screen, good resolution. Easy to configurate. I can't find a pencil which works with this touch screen.
