fitting nicely, thermal pads are a bit fiddly though, in order to make the stick you need to remove the white protective layer first but then the transparent layer comes loose also. If you remove the transparant layer first you can not remove the white layer anymore without damage.. Still I managed to get them in and works fine.

I found it impossible to connect a GPIO flat cable to the pi with the heat sink fitted. Simply not enough room for the connector. The thermal pad protection strips were difficult to remove and it wasn't clear if one or both sides should be removed. I ended up not using the case.

Warning: If you plan to plug any peripherals like the camera and senseHAT, you're going to have a hard time because with the way the case is built, it will get in the way of plugging things into the GPIO pot and lifting up the lugs that cover the peripheral slots. So think about it before encasing the Pi in the case. Positives: This is a good heatsink case. I combined this with the thermal pads it came with and a small tube of Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut paste and it kept my Pi, so far, under 50 degrees celsius which was adequate and when you turn it off, the case will cool down within minutes. But if you seriously want to cool your Pi and still have access to its hardware ports, I'd recommend buying thicker thermal pads (to hopefully prop the top case half high enough to give more room to lift the plug cover up) and a GPIO extension cable so you can connect anything like a senseHat.

Very compact, and effective. All important parts are protected, so it is as good as a case. My RPis are not easily visible so the fact that it looks a tiny bit utilitarian is not a problem. I run Rpi4s with 1 gb RAM as streaming devices under libreelec and kodi and I did not go for the fan option. This heatsink seems to keep the heat under control - stabilises at around 50 celsius when playing back recorded TV

Nicely manufactured but 2 annoying aspects. Firstly they have not left sufficient room for a ribbon connector to connect to the GPIO header. So I have to file away part of the case to have room. The second thing is that the small adhesive patches to ensure thermal contact with the PI are really cheap and the backing paper wont come off without messing up the whole thing. These two flaws really spoil what is otherwise a nice case.

Really nice machined, no problems with it. Yet to test the thermal performance but it looks beefy
