“It's very clunky to use with a Google Pixel 5. Especially when the phone is fitted with a case. I also think my lens was faulty as there was absolutely no adjustment using the focus ring. Images only sharp with lens wound right out so not possible to focus on a subject less than 15m away. Nice concept let down by poor design and engineering. Shame”
“The lens feels nicely made and the clip is strong enough for my needs. However even when the focus is set to infinity, it is still not in focus for distant objects.”
“The problem with this lens is getting an image without black edges, caused by a mismatch between the lens and the camera. I have tried to mount it over the Raspberry Pi camera with and without a camera holder and no matter how I try to adjust it, there are always black edges in the images - like looking through a sniper scope. I was hoping I could use it like you use a normal camera lens without the edges.”
“It's a bit fiddly but once in the right place it works really well, reasonably clear image. I'd be wary about clipping it to the Pi Camera due to the strength of the clip but I intend to have the two mounted independently so it is not a problem for me.”
“This is a well-priced bit of kit and feels good quality. I was much larger and heavier than I expected. It clips nicely onto my mobile, but I will have to give some thought as to how best to attach it to my Pi project”
