“Growing up in the 80's i owned and built several Tamiya & Kyosho RC cars. I wanted my son to feel the fun and joy that i had, but at only 6yrs old felt that he was far too young to deep dive into everything RC. Bought him this for his birthday along with a couple of extra batteries and have been pleasantly surprised. It appears well engineered and built. We took it out for a test drive and i was impressed with the speed and handling and also that i could trim the speed down to assist my son learning how to control is. It's great that you can buy spares if needed. It's really quite robust and has managed to take a few knocks which can't be said for his batman rc car for the same price bought elsewhere, that the wheel snapped off within the first 5mins of use.

“Got this for my 7 year olds birthday and he loves it. The throttle trim is a god send for practicing and learning but it still has some oomph for when you're in a good open space.
One of the connecting rods broke in the first week, so we went into three wheel drive. I think this was just one of those unlikely things and kudos to RC Geeks, they sent me a replacement part. I'll be getting some more spares in due course when I undoubtedly order a second car to race my son.”
