“This is a fantastic blend and a true representation of the Italian profile. It reminds me of the espresso I would drink in my home country, only these beans come fresh and well roasted. The taste profile is very limited but classic, and you buy it for the mouthfeel and the memories of course. Easily extracted on an E61 group using a conical grinder, bitterness can be easily tamed by dropping the temperature and going for a shorter ratio which brings the walnut flavours forward. It produces lots of fines and the grinder will need cleaning more regularly otherwise taste will turn acrid very soon.”
