“Didn’t want it as a pump, wanted a pond feature, took out the workings and fitted a 25mm hose through it, delighted with the result as now my pond has a great looking feature that aerates the water, very Happy”
“Prompt delivery but box was falling apart - good thing it was held together with secure strapping. It came painted green which did not match my existing base unit which is black. However, I like the green and will repaint the base green, hopefully to match. Like my old pump, it is strongly made and looks good. Some instructions would have been helpful advising that the lower flange should be removed before attaching it to the draw tube (mine is about 40 ft long). I tried to remove the whole of the old pump with the existing draw tube attached and the tube broke about half way along because of the amount of bending necessary to get it out. The lower half of the draw tube is now at the bottom of the well but the remaining tube is plenty long enough to reach the water. I realised my mistake before fitting the new pump and then all went well. The pump is now working very well. Some bolts to connect to the base unit would have been helpful.”
“Bought this as a replacement for the exact same pump whose handle broke in the frost some years ago. It arrived very quickly, well packaged and painted in a nice green colour. I was able to disassemble the original leaving the base in place on the barrel top and then bolt this pump in place - this saved me some potentially quite difficult work to undo bolts on the inside of the barrel without dropping them into the water. It works well and I couldn't say anything against it.”
“We ordered black as shown on the internet - turned up green. Two small chips in the paintwork on the pump handle and inconvenient that pump handle is behind spout rather than to the side as in every other model we've owned. Makes it really difficult to get to the handle!”
