“First application to remove horsetail provided a welcome sward of brown - dead weeds. However, a few weeks later another crop appeared which was again treated. Since then there has been an intermittent re-appearance of the dreaded weed although it's been 'browned-off' by subsequent applications. I'm not sure when the horsetail can be classed as 'defeated'.”

“Kurtail works a treat on horsetail weed - especially with the 'K-Plus' water softener in our hard water area. One spray with the recommended dilution has seen the weeds turn black in one week.”

“We have asked a number of people about getting rid of marestail with different solutions but all basically saying it can't be killed, just controlled. However, one application of Kurtail had a significant visual effect on it within a week. A second application on new growth from unaffected roots has had a similar effect. All shoots that were sprayed are now black/brown and clearly dying. It's just a case of keep spraying new growth from unaffected roots as it appears. Time will tell, but we are hopeful.”

“Very expensive and requires many treatments to kill the Mares tail. I am using double strength and it is struggling to kill it.”

Horsetail/ marestail is extremely invasive and we go to great pains to warn customers of this in our conversations and product listings – it has been around for centuries and is well adapted to its environment. The product works very effectively when used in a sprayer and when care is taken to watch for suitable weather in which to spray, plus we have information on suitable dilution rates that should be adhered to.
