“This product only seems to kill the top of the marestail . I have been using it for about 2 years and I still have the same problem. I have just purchased a new lot of the product and I will keep trying to eradicate the weed”

HI Ronald, thanks for leaving a review. Horsetail/ marestail is a plant very high in silica and so deflects a liquid naturally and most products are not effective. Consistent and persistent use of Kurtail Gold will reduce the numbers steadily but it all depends how infested you are (ie, the size or bulk of rhizomes underground) as to how long this takes to weaken the root structure to the point where it cannot re-shoot. However it is not a quick fix and it’s something that will need a number of treatments and may never disappear. It should be applied when the plant is at least 6-8 inches high and green coloured.
