“Had an overgrown front garden, most of it was horse tail, sprayed when it was and dry and not too windy, had a very good result within a week, sprayed again after about 10 days some had been missed due to the mass in some places. I would recommend if you have a lot is to cut back as much as you can so it leaves enough to see where they are, I had overgrown grass and weeks mixed in.”

“Having sprayed the horsetails, they started blackening within days. It seems to be working well, the good thing being that you don't have to bruise the stems before applying”

“This is the only product to treat horsetail weed, I have tried other weedkillers but nothing has acted so fast and efficiently, am so pleased. I have been told by professional gardeners that this weed is virtually indestructible. However, once treated with Progreens Kurtail Gold the weed seems to be dying at a very rapid pace- I could not be happier. Thank you Progreen.”

“I have used Kurtail on my new herbaceous border to try and eliminate marestail. I have used a hand sprayer and empty coke bottle with bottom cut off to spray the individual stems without killing my new plants. This was a suggestion by the helpful lady on the helpline. Within a day the marestail turned black and now any new shoots appearing get a blast immediately. Kurtail definitely works on killing the marestail very efficiently and although I will most likely have a few years battle before its gone it has certainly slowed new growth this season. The 0.5L bottle will last a long time as only a small amount was needed for a 0.5L spray bottle, therefore cost effective in the long run.”

“Applied this to the existing mares tail and within one day it was already turning brown. 3 weeks later and it is looking dead - this stuff seems to have really worked and well worth the money to save me spending hours and hours pulling these weeds up just to have them grow back again in bigger numbers. Hopefully in another few weeks I will have killed everything and can actually start planting something!”

“I used the kurtail solution about a week ago now. The vegetation is very very dense and I can see the bits I've missed now. It's starting to discolour, going to yellow then brown. It will take another go or 2 this season then again next march I'll try again. The garden can't be a garden with this many mares tails so I don't mind betting it'll take 9-12 months to make an impact difference. I might be wrong but realistically I think it will take this long. It's on a small plot but with over 50year infestation and if it is gone in 12months I think that's very impressive. Would definitely recommend since I'm seeing positive results in a week!!”
