What a difference, being a specs wearer wearing mouth masks and protective goggles fogging was a nuisance. I tried pinching the nose clip tighter, shortening the elastic to get a tighter fit to no avail. Even then I found dust still got in. The trend face shield was an absolute game-changer..I don't think it's heavy or cumbersome, the head adjuster was perfect, the motor vibration-free and quiet. Just a cool airflow across my face. No fogging specs or face shield.

Been using a filtered mask and shield for about a year before treating myself to the Airshield Pro, and what a difference, did not find the Airshield at all heavy in fact don't really notice it apart from the fact you are breathing nice clean air and not having to wear a mask which is usually uncomfortable and sweaty, I highly recommend this mask especially from this seller, fast delivery at a very good price.

Used this a couple of times now, it makes such a difference you get nice cool fresh air blowing over your face, it doesn't feel heavy and has lasted 9 hours so far (and it's still not flat). Also, it is rated for Mdf unlike any others I could find within this price range, I've no idea why they don't make them with standard half mask filters, this would give much better choice. I would have given it 5 stars but... 1. the face seal doesn't quite fit by my ears but this is solved with my ear defenders. 2. my ear defenders (the usual type with the band over the head) don't stay on great and I've just learnt that Trend have stopped making the ones that go with this mask.

I do not find the helmet comfortable. Mounting the motor, battery and filters on top of the helmet makes it feel like balancing a weight perched on your head. It is OK when the head is still but moving it forward or sideways causes the helmet to move and the fit could not be adjusted without making it too tight to be bearable. The alternative offered by Axminster Tools has the motor placed above the visor and the battery at the back of the helmet, this is much more balanced and comfortable. The Trend helmet is however of a better quality and works well.
