Excellent machine, machine as I have other Makita tools and batteries, it made sense to purchase this high quality machine rather than cheaper models with their own cheaper brand batteries. I received delivery promptly next day free delivery, and noted the machine was from a recent batch November 2024 as opposed to old stock.

Assembly of the arms takes moments. The grass cutting collector fits easy. I like the height adjustment, which is super quick and easy with the lever: my lawn is bumpy so having that level of optional clearance is a boon. Zero fuss worked first time. For a smaller garden the single battery version works great on a 5AH, and I'd not be surprised if one charge were to last a few mows. Great and user friendly machine that I have every reason to expect will last. My only 'could be better' is whilst the cut grass goes into the collection bit no problem, you need to manually make sure none is in the 'in-between' region and ends up on the ground when removing it to empty.
