The DeWalt DCMHT563 18v XR 55cm Cordless Hedge Trimmer is ideal for professional gardeners and landscapers, as well as DIY enthusiasts looking to keep their hedges in check. With a compact and lightweight design and a wrap-around aux handle, it provides a comfortable grip as well as reducing user fatigue. Featuring a DeWalt high performance brushless motor, it can run for up to 75 minutes of trimming per charge with a 5.0Ah battery.

“This is a great bit of kit. I have about 150 meters of Laurel and hawthorn hedges and this cuts through them with ease even the thicker branches I was conscious of how a battery would stack up v my old electric hedge cutters and it makes life so much easier with no trailing mains cable to cut through. The trimmers included a 5 amp battery and rapid charger and I believe at the rate of battery discharge I will be able to complete a full trim of some seriously over grown hedges within 2-3 full battery charges. It’s a rapid charger so it will take me longer to pick up the cuttings than it will to charge the battery ready for the next batch of cutting. The machine is light / well balanced and is good value for money. Also being DEWALT, the battery like most is interchangeable with their battery tool range. I wish I had bought these three years ago. Very impressed with the ease of use and effectiveness.”

“Winter purchase so too early to say much, but it is light, balanced and doesn't need petrol. I'm 83 and can do without the excitement of 2xstroke engines. If it is anything like my other Dewalt tools it should last 20 years.”

“I bought it because I expected it to be able to cut through a wee bit thicker branches of my hedge than my old 14 V 15 mm tooth gap Bosch Trimmer, but I was really disappointed. It seemed to not even do as good as the old, smaller one and was much heavier and bulkier so no use for me. I sent it back straight away. It also has a very unpleasant feature on the power button where you have to push one switch embedded into the power lever into the opposit direction that the lever itself and keep holding it there which is quite tricky to do and distracts everytime you stop and want to restart as it is so difficult. I would definitely not recommend this tool.”
