“Bought this for use at the allotment, and it didn’t disappoint. With 2 5amph batteries it worked for well over an hour on grass over 24” tall and some proper chunky brambles. Couple of times it got bunged up with grass/ greenery but that was taken care of easily. Used it a couple of times in the garden and it’s handled everything with no bother.”

“I bought the cordless dewalt grass strimmer to replace my petrol one. I've used it a couple of times and cutting short/long grass ok, the battery lasts longer on the lower speed, once on high speed not so good. I had a problem with the nettles they would wrap themselves around the gap between the machine and spool, then the wire wouldn't come out when bumped. Next problem as other people have pointed out is the instruction manual for when you want to take the spool apart to unwrap the long grass and nettles from around the spine or replace the cutting wire, I finally figured it out that you have to push a screwdriver in the two holes when they line up to remove the spool holder and similarly line up two holes to replace the wire then wind the equal lengths of wire onto the spool as it doesn't come apart like my old machine. But other than that I'd purchase from power tool world again because they were very reasonably priced for what I bought and kept me informed as to where my new tool was postage wise.”

“Second one I have bought. Last one lasted 3 years before processor blew and it was an uneconomical repair. Great piece of kit for money particularly if you have batteries already. Very easy to use. Build quality good”

“Good piece of kit cuts grass very well. I have not tried thick weeds or long grass yet. Assembly instructions ambiguous with regards shaft joint. Pictures imply a sleeve joint, but it is in fact a butt joint.”
