“I was initially disappointed in the presentation of the joint. There wasn't the usually layer of skin or fat for me to glaze and dress. It was just a lump of meat with a one inch strip of fat like a ridge. Not helpful when you want it as a show piece for your table. Having said that it was tendered and very tasty.”
“Very disappointed - the gammon was simmered very gently as instructed but the fat around the joint was secured with string and lifted away from the gammon. Had to remove string in order to remove rind and it was impossible to score because the fat kept falling off.”
