“I thought this was a bit pricey at first, but I was very wrong - it turned out to be great value! This joint has yielded about 18 portions for my family: having cut off a couple of steaks plus enough meat for a casserole and 6 large pork pies, I slow-cooked the rest on the bone and it made what was genuinely the best pulled pork I've ever had. The rind made some really good pork scratchings and the fat trimmed off it produced great quality lard for making the pork pies - I've even used the bone to make stock! Everything I've made with this so far has been absolutely delicious and it cooks like a dream.”
