“I thought these weren’t great at all. Better labeled as bacon or gammon offcuts. Proper lardons, are part belly fat, with plenty to allow them to crisp and flavor. Lots of watery liquid came out of my pack, very different shapes, and didn’t crisp. Many bits with no fat at all. Might have been a bad batch or a recent change of supplier judging by older, positive reviews. Better used in a chicken pie, or pea and ham soup than for recipes requiring crispy lardons.”
