“I've never cooked a goose before, as we have always ordered the Piper's Farm turkeys in the past (which are the best we've ever eaten!). The whole family declared it absolutely delicious, and it is now our new favourite Christmas Dinner go to. All of the accompaniments we ordered were as always perfect (Pigs in Blankets, bacon lardons, cheese, condiments etc etc). The only thing I would add is that with the 6kg turkeys you will have lots of meat for between 8-10 people and plenty of leftovers, whereas with the same weight goose, we had exactly the right amount for fewer people. I would therefore 'size up' when planning what size bird you will need, depending on the amount of people you are feeding. This is only a small point to note though - it was fantastic. And as a bonus we had lots of amazing goose fat for the potatoes!”
