“Rosie, my greyhound, has had pancreatitis and needs rabbit which is now easily and safe to obtain without the worry of poisons deliberately place in wild populations.”
“I took a bit of a gamble on this as I've never roasted a rabbit before. (Cooked it almost every other way imaginable but always in some form of stew/casserole. - Grew up on a lot of wild rabbit and determining the age wasn't always easy so tended never to roast.) I wanted to do a roast for easter but my mother in law doesen't really eat any meat other than game so decided to risk roasting it. I added a fair bit of fat inside and then wrapped the whole thing in several rashers of streaky and roasted it for (what felt like) quite a short amount of time and it was an absolute success!
Will certainly do again. (although a friend yesterday told me they'd recently had confit rabbit legs which were fantastic so that might be the next experiment!)”
Dear Oliver,
Thank you so much for your 5-star rating of our Whole Wild Rabbit! We truly appreciate your kind words and are thrilled to hear that your roast turned out to be an absolute success.
We're glad you took a little gamble and decided to try roasting the rabbit, even if you hadn't done it before. It sounds like the addition of fat and the wrapping in streaky rashers did wonders for the flavour. We're honoured that you chose our rabbit for your Easter feast, especially considering your mother-in-law's preference for game meat.
Thank you once again for your loyalty as a customer. We value your continued support and look forward to serving you with more delicious options in the future.
Best wishes,
Georgina
